Camilla d’Errico
by Dan Gordon on Mar.08, 2009, under Art & Design

Format Magazine have an interview with the cutesy-bizarre artist, Camilla D’Errico. From the article:
Through her fiery nature, creative ability and profound passion for her craft, Camilla d’Errico has become one of the best of her generation and a true inspiration to her growing cult-like fan base. D’Errico has distinguished herself through her ability to seamlessly weave together Asian manga, North American comic book illustration, and her worldly complex emotional palette.
I hadn’t heard of this artist before, but really enjoy the style.

Casted bird skull
by Dan Gordon on Jan.27, 2009, under Fashion
Continuing the theme of skulls comes this casted bird skull from Harakiri, a designer from Montreal. The skull is sterling silver and measures measures 1 inch long. You can find it at www.mtldesigners.com and it will set you back $260. We love the simplicity of this design, a little morbid and delicately presented. See more here

Japanese artist Usugrow has been drawing for bands and clothing labels sings the early nineties, and has a definitive calligraphic tattoo style that transcends the genre.

Usugrow’s upcoming collaborations with Vans looks like something to watch out for.

Wingback Chairs
by Lisa on Dec.16, 2008, under Art & Design, Culture
You remember that scene in The Matrix where Neo has to decide whether to take the blue or red pill ? Well I doubt that scene would have had the same effect if Morpheus was perched upon a plastic IKEA stool.
I do love a cool chair.
Laura Zindel Ceramics
by Lisa on Dec.15, 2008, under Art & Design
I love Laura Zindel’s Ceramics. They have a touch of dark without being too over the top. The subtlety of her designs works really well. Her ceramics are apparently inspired by the Victorian Cabinets of Curiosity. The art of collecting and displaying ones’ passions.
You can purchase her ceramics here
Fantasy Taxidermy
by Lisa on Dec.15, 2008, under Art & Design
Sarina Brewer is sculptor in the States who works with Taxidermy materials. I love her fantasy creations of Griffins and Flying Monkeys. There is a huge variety of different animals oddities on her site including her jewelery selection of cat paw pendants and alligator feet earrings.
Sarina Brewers work can be found here
